Re: [fast5] Re: New here!

My favorite thing about fasting in general thus far is this:

I am a PICKY either. CRAZY PICKY. (So picky I bug myself!) I was pretty intolerant of veges in general. (I liked a FEW.) I tried forcing myself to eat more - but frankly forcing yourself to eat something doesn't last. I started fasting using Eat Stop Eat. I noticed that after a fast day I could not only tolerate but ENJOY these foods that made me green before. My most recent success - a bite of a "Bloomin Onion" - I do NOT eat onions. In fact they usually send me running to the bathroom. (the texture literally makes me throw up.) But yesterday I ate some onion! AND I kept it down! This is just my "biggest" success - I have started ENJOYING raw veggies and salads! (My husband is floored.) I make sure to eat whatever I am trying to like to break my fast. It's amazing the difference in taste when your actually hungry!

Even if I didn't lose another pound I am so happy with this I would keep at it.

One of the best things about this way of eating for me has been how satisfied (and energized) I've been while I'm not eating, and how great everything tastes when I do!

I don't use the full window myself. When I'm finished with my evening meal, I don't eat anything else, so I probably fast about 22 hours each day.
