We've been carless for over three years..My car went south in 2006 and this was just as Joe was recovering from a stroke(coupled with his epilespy not a good combination)
No one ever bought me a car either..I've had cars when I could afford to pay cash for them and now they say we don't earn enough to have a car(according to the dealers).

have your friend take u to work or get a bicycle untill u can afford a car again, i rode a bicycle for years back and forth to work, noone ever bought me a car

Where is justice in the world? Not only have I lost my driving privileges for 6 months, but due to that fact, I've been unable to work and therefore can't afford to maintain my car. I've had to sell it. Fortunately, I've sold it to a friend who takes me where I have to go when I have no other way of getting there (doctor's appoitments, et al. The driving suspension is due to expire in about 2 months, but a lot of good that does me now.
My dad had bought me my car which I have subsequently sold. Since then, he has passed away and my Mom doesn't seem to show any interest in getting me a car.
I just needed to vent.
