Re: [epilepsy] Transport with sz meds

Tim,

As far as I know I am not connected with any Medical Alert.
I purchased the bracelet myself and put info in the hollow area.
The info in it is my name, address, phone, dosage, my 2
daughter's home/work phone #s who live in town & my Dr.'s
name and phone. I make it with small letters on the computer.

Since I got it about about 14 years ago -- I have never
been found having a sz. I usually am with friends who
know to call my daughters who live in town when I am not
acting my normal self. About 15 years ago my szs changed
from GM to something like complex partials. My daughters
say my brain is scrambled for a couple days. I have a paper
circulated here in the retirement center and with any group
I am with that they are to call my daughters if I am not
acting my usual self.

My last sz was 2 years ago and before that it was 4 years.
That is why I chose to live in a retirement center-- where
people would know how I am usually-- and can tell when I
am not.

I don't know when I am not my usual self. One time I had
driven about 6 miles to a reducing group. They wanted to
drive me home and I said "I can drive myself". Another of
the girls came up and told me I was not not acting my usual
self and they thought that I would be safer letting them drive
my car. So I said fine. I usually have to be told.

They say I stare, don't smile, don't ask questions and don't
answer questions. I act like I am just not with them.
