[epilepsy] Re: seizure at church (and possible school assemblies)

Hi Mark,
It is meaningful and important that you want to share your
knowledge to some of the many who actually need this. I would
contact the Epilepsy Foundation in your state, and I bet they will
direct you to the suggested steps to persue this. Good luck and
please let us know how all goes and what you think about it.
Take care.

When he got to the pulpit he explained that a girl in the other church had a seizure right at the end of the service. After our service was over, I told him that I would be happy to talk to the girl and her family if they wanted me to. He said he would pass the word along to them.

If I do it, I will have to get some more info on the types of seizures, what to do if someone has one, types of meds, etc. Maybe it will educate not only the kids, but also the staff, about epilepsy and clear some of the stigmas attached. The thing is, I don't think I've heard what all the stigmas associated with ep are. Maybe you all could help me comprise a list so I can use it in my talk.

Just a friendly reminder: Please remember to sign your post and remember to clean up messages when you reply to them.  This is especially important if you are on digest.  This not only helps out the list owner but, it makes messages much easier to read when they arrive in our inboxes.
