This is Sandy here.. my mom smoked a lot and one day had to have an aneuryzm repaired. Her body convulsed after the surgery, but not like convulsions, she shook all over.
I inquired if she had a nicotene patch on since she was a heavy smoker. They put one one and you could see her body settle down as it went through her system. Uh,, by the way, if you ever get cancer, many places won't take a smoker. Surgery is declined until smoking is stopped to improve the chances or survival. Hope you are never in my mom's situation.

I did quite a lot of research on the Net about dystonia and it also speaks of tremors which I experience often when I smoke a cigarette. These tremors last quite a while and it's my entire arms which shake. I didn't mention it to the new Neuro as, well...the office visit was rather brief and this guy was like don't speak unless spoken to.
Now I did tell my regular Neuro and she did a few hands on exam in her office yet at that time I wasn't shaking so she dismissed it..
