Re: [epilepsy] different / same ???

Actually it may be an encoding problem because all your paragraphs are the
same length and they break in the middle of sentences. I can't believe
anyone could go that long without hitting ENTER at least once... I wonder
what happens if you stick BR tags in the middle.

I didn't really mean to criticize you in a mean way, or to be rude (which I
probably was), because your posts always make me smile. They're so very
long, and they all say the same things, albeit in a permuted order. They're
somewhat autobiographical with a mixup of clinical trial information,
acceptance of one's views, MSG / nitrates, suicide threats, seizure
anecdotes, links to odd websites, and mental health. Fascinating in their
own way. But people learn not to read stuff like that. Emails either have to
be short, or if not, then at least obviously new looking. You could dribble
all that stuff out over a dozen 3-4 sentence emails (instead of repeating
all of it in 12 identical-looking blocks) and more people would heed your
warnings. As for links to external websites, I usually incorporate those
into email signatures.

Please stop threatening suicide; it's uncouth. On the Internet, people make
suicide threats at the drop of a hat, all the time. Should we take them
seriously? Is there really such a steady stream of Internet-driven suicides
making the news constantly, given that reporters always mention that little
detail when it happens? You learn to ignore suicide threats from people you
barely know online. They tick you off instead of worrying you. I can't
imagine someone taking their own life merely because their style got
criticized by a near-stranger in some Internet-enabled conversation. FWIW I
think it would be a tragedy. But I would feel sorrow, not guilt, thus
defeating the purpose.
