Is anyone here taking phenobarbital? Does anyone know why certain strengths are still available like 16.32 mg and other strengths are not available like 15 mg? What, if anything, did your doctor suggest as a better alternative med? I read that PB has "long term side effects" but cannot really find any listed. How about Klonopin?

Thanks in advance,
SJ

I was on Phenobarbital, in conjunction with Dilantin, from the time I was in elementary school, until 9th Grade(16yrs.-old; 1983).  At 16, I was switched from the combo, to Tegratol.(I switched from Tegratol, to Carbitrol when I was 36yrs.-old)  I was told that, as a child reaches high-school age, they lose there effectiveness.
