FYI, alcohol can also cause memory loss in fact, it's likely way more toxic than any prescribed medications but of course, it's not socially acceptable to question the consumption of alcoholic beverages.
Aspirin can cause microbleeds in the brains of 33% of those who take one baby aspirin a day. 1 in 5000 gets a severe brain bleed from this dosage (my DH happened to be that one) and 1 in 1000 gets a severe gastro-intestinal bleed. And that's a whole lot worse than a bit of memory loss one might get by taking anti sz meds.
In fact, aging very routinely also causes memory loss.
And none of us will escape that! All to remind us that the media must be taken with a very large grain of salt.
