I think what I'm needing goes much deeper than I realized.
After I submitted that post, I spent several hours on the internet researching the subject. I have had an eating disorder all my life and have been in 12 step recovery groups and/or therapy for almost as long; (now that's either commendable or very, very sad). In the last year, I started studying the Law of Attraction (Abraham-Hicks)
Still, the peace that I seek alludes me. My obsession with desserts is still there. I can't live with them; I can't live without them. And I'm a quantity eater. One "small" anything isn't gonna cut if folks, it just isn't. My experience tells me that.
Fast 5, a program I discovered about a year ago, confirmed what I already knew to be true for me - that one meal a day works best for my mind and my body. (Thank you, Bert)! I finally met a group of people who do what I do and don't think I'm nuts! (Well, that's debateable, I guess).
I just ordered a book and 2 CD's from Janeen Roth, an expert on eating disorders with a totally different, and more "gentler" perspective than what I'm used to.
I'll keep you guys posted. If anyone can relate to me, I would love to read about your experience, strength and hope.
