My daughter has been on Keppra for several years. Yes it worked for her but now she is having a new type of sizure acrivity. So we are now going to see another doctor that just deals with the seizures alone. But we are going to be evaluated and if they are not going to change any thing that is already going on then we will just stay with whay we are doing. But the Keppra has done wonders without the nasty side effects of other medications.

Christina in tn,
I have been on Keppra for years. My neurologist switched it to Keppra XR
this year mainly so I didn't have to used the generic form of the regular
Keppra. The generic doesn't seem to work as well as the brand name stuff for
me. Keppra changed the way my seizures were when I started taking it.They
became a lot milder and after so long didn't have as many headaches as I did
before it. I was on the neurontin too.The doctor switched me off of that
this year also. He switched that to Vimpat, which seems to be working better
than the Neurontin did. He wanted to put me on the Lyrica a few years back,
but I didn't like the side effects to it and decided not to take it. When I
went back to the neurologist he told me the Lyrica was basically almost the
same thing as Neurontin was. Anyway the Neurontin do as well as the Vimpat
is doing now. I hope the Keppra does good for you.Take care.
