Where in Tennessee do you live? My husband sees an amazing neurologist in Memphis. I am not sure if he takes Tenncare but he might at least be able to refer you to someone else that he is in cohorts with.

Sorry you had such a bad day. It is unusual that she told you all this
without talking to your specialists- -isn't it? Can you call her nurses
and have them talk to your Dr. or get an appointment with him?
Or call your specialists and see what they have to say.
I never talk to my Dr. on the phone. The nurses have been good at
telling or asking him what I want to know-- and then getting back to me.
Did this Dr. give you all the things she wants to take away?
Do you walk a little each day? I find that when a person is in bed all
the time you get very weak.
The patients that I have taken care of who have a feeding tube-- do not eat.
I'm surprised you can.
Try to cool down and not get upset. That isn't going to help anything.

I went to my primary care doctor and
it was terrible. I was going for
bursitis, a gel mattress, and refills
on my meds. well, i got much more than
I bargained for.
first of all, there was a new nurse
practitioner there and she saw me.
she began seeing me and then there was
an emergency. Then, she comes back
into the room with my med bottles and
unfilled prescription. i had a total
of 8 pain pills (in 3 bottles) to my
name from left over prescriptions from
the dentist and an emergency trip for
trigeminal neuralgia.
The unfilled prescriptions were for
darvocet and hydrocodone. One from
surgery last week, one from the 2
from dentist. i had had 3 dry sockets.
And I hadn't even filled the prescriptions.
I didn't have the money. She said I was
hoarding medicine like ws going to run out.
Then she was saying I didn't need the
feeding tube for meds and water and
draining stomach when nausea and
supplements since I can eat by mouth some.
I think I may have to go on tube feedings
any how. She was so mean to me!!!
She said next that I didn't need nurses.
I just needed to get up and be mobile.
I told her that I had just had physical
therapy for 2 months and they had to quit
because I was making no progress-actually
I was going backwards. I am going backwards-
getting weaker from the arachnoiditis.
She said "IF" i had gastroparesis like she
didn't believe me that I didn't need any
narcotics. sure narcotics slow your stomach/
bowels, but you don't need to be in pain
either. I just had a test that showed the
gastroparesis it was in the chart and I
had faxed it o her and I know she
received it.
I so didn't like her. She said you can
have me for your doctor, but you can
have no narcotics, no nurses, and I will
call all your specalists and doctors and
see if you really need that care or not.
I wouldn't mind her calling my specialist
as long as she didn't try to talk them
out of my care. I had no choice I had
to quit her with that criteria.
I am so angry right now for my nurse
taking that in. I could fire that nurse
I hate her anyway she is a *****. She
is negative, rough, and down right
abusive with her words sometimes. She is
partly to blame!. What she told that NP
gave her the ideas. I have no clue what
she told her, but I know it was lies and
it wasn't good. She is one of the nurses
who always believes NOTHING is wrong with
me because I have invisable conditions.
I purposely don't let her go back to see
the doctors with me any more. This time
she caught the doctor aside.
I dunno what I am going to do. I have to
find a doctor and quick. This week is
Thanksgiving and the doctor's offices are
going to be closed. All i have is tomorrow.
They are probably closed on Wednesday.
Then, the first of next week i will have
to try hard. I have seen nearly every
doctor in my town. they WILL NOT treat
someone as sick as me with as many ailments.
And many don't take my insurance-TENNCARE-
Tennessee's Medicaid. I was glad to finally
get a doctor in my town. I am afraid I may
have to travel now out of town.
When I get this stressed, I get further
depressed, i don't eat. Everything flares
up. I feel worse. I hurt worse.
Everything goes crazy! My anxiety is high.
And I have more panic attacks.
Oh, I have rambled enough. PLease pray
for me. I have so much anxiety and
stress. Now I will have to listen to
my nurses go and go over about How i
don't have a doctor and how they lose
their jobs since there will be now
doctor to order my nurses. Great.
