Hi Uggie - I find anything past a week or more or anything that I do not want to forget or that have done so
many times over and over that no way to forget (like getting out of bed in the a.m. :))smile:) I have to take
short notes of. Almost like a diary. For shorter term memory, like a word or phrase I may be using in that
same hour, and find that keep forgetting, I write it down. You should see my computer here - simple words
like partial (seizure), generic (meds) I have notes all over taped to my computer so if don't come up
immediately I can look on there. Is a total mess and should put on my board here but this way it is closer and
more convenient.
Possibly she could have a section of her binder she is working in and have just words phrases or whatever
written down in there....or section for each different class .... I have to have a few pages in one of my
binders here of passwords and names for each of the things I have on my computers - otherwise I would never be
able to find myself around some days.
Just a suggestion. I found the more I used a certain word or phrase that was just a little different the more
it stuck.
Good luck to her and tell her not to quit just because of....encourage her to keep going and she can even be
stubborn in that department by telling herself every day she is going to surprise everyone and make it !!
Best of luck to her
Julie

Yes that is my daughter. Even in school - Jr in high school. She can know
how to do something in study hall and by the time she gets to test in next
class has forgotten...
Any suggestions for her as my heart is breaking for her.... Yes she is in
tutoring - but not helping at all. Currently out of 5 classes is failing 3.

Does anyone else in the group have troule with their memory. I mean, REALLY
bad trouble. I can hear something one minute and forget it the next. I
suspect that's that's the reason I had to drop-out of college.
