It was a long time ago ('95), and it was summer (DUMB decision), but I got one. The biggest problem I had was getting the nasty glue out of my hair (mostly on acct of the heat), but basically, you wear a monitor and electrodes for 24 hours, and go about your normal routine as much as possible. You press a button when you feel any sz activity start. I didn't have any, and my reading was clean, but I then had six GMs in 2 years (trying to get my son's autism dx'ed and treated), so they aren't perfect, but they generally tell more than a standard 20-min job will.
