[epilepsy] Seizure in public

Tim,

I am so sorry you have to go through all that. In my earlier days (when I was young, stupid and invinsible)I tried to beat the seizure and go to work or walk the dog. I never won. I've had to pay those hospital, ambulance, etc fees myself.

After I sent my message yesterday I started thinking. Where would they find many people with elipepsy that are just going about life without seizures? Most of us hide our disorder. It's kind of like being gay in the military. Don't ask me and I won't tell.

They have never found a reason for my seizures. I agree it can be caused by so many different variables that seizures can be controlled but not cured. But control is a MAJOR step. If all of us in this group were controlled there would probably be little need for the group. Except to complain about our meds? :)

I'm glad I found this group.
