I have had seizures since I was a baby, which was 40 years ago. My seizures
have never been under control. If your son's seizures have been under
control for the past 5 years with the Trileptal, I think I would leave him
on it. I wouldn't increase the dosage or anything like that. If you take him
off of it, it might cause him to start having seizures.It is hard to go
through going on and off that medicine too. Everytime I go in for monitoring
at the hospital, the hardest thing is going without the medicine and the
seizures are so much worse. I hope everything works out for him. Take care.
