Re: [fast5] Re: Need encouragement/ spiritual practice?

It's an interesting issue. I'm in Vegas now, at a conference. I know,
Vegas is FOOD CITY, but I can't eat most of it because 1) most of it
contains wheat or is contaminated by it (which makes me seriously ill
for other reasons) and 2) I have no time (job).

So I've been living off mainly bananas and nuts. Doing Fast-5 has been
a lifesaver, mainly because hey, missing lunch is no big deal. And
breakfast, who needs breakfast? And late dinner: nuts and a banana.

Not that this is ideal, and when I get back I plan on a big rare steak
and potato. But my body isn't complaining, and I have a ton of energy
and peace in a rather stressful situation.

I tend to agree about "energy" of animals ... I raise them, and I buy
beef from a farmer who raises them. It makes you feel very responsible
for these creatures. Not unrealistically so: the cycle of life on this
planet revolves a lot around carnivores and herbivores, and neither
can exist without the other (the grass needs the herbivores too). But
it's pretty easy to give these animals a good life. My grandmother,
from the "old country", said American chickens were unhappy, that is
why they laid such sad eggs. My chickens lay happy eggs though.

Hindus believe that when you eat the flesh of animals, the energy of the animal is passed on to your energy fields. If the animal you eat was killed violently or while the animal was scared, that negative energy is passed on to you when you consume it. I try to only eat animals that were free range, organically raised, etc.
