Yes, depression is related to epilepsy. It's a common characteristic of epilepsy. The majority of people with epilepsy do have some degree of depression. Surgery is most successful for people with focal (partial) epilepsy. It's not just for people who have seizures every day. I was having seizure clusters about once a month. thanks for everyone's opinion about my situation,however I am afraid to leave him.I am so embarassed I had a grand mal and I was watching tv and they said Michael Jackson died and the minute I came otuy of my seizure I said wow Michael Jackson Died? can't believe I lost that much time! I do have a medical bracelet now.Still sweating from the lamictal.Boyfriend has to wear a sweated at night cause I sweat really bad.Glad I have this group.Does anyone think that depression could be related to epilepsy and another thing I don't have seizures very often however I had 6 this month and haven't had one for 24 days.How does that operation work?Is that only for people who have seizures all the time?
