Re: [epilepsy] Circulation

Oh my goodness, so that's where it comes from. I've had that for years. I just started taking ( GNC Niacinamide 100 mg, 5 x per day) a few years ago + I can feel my fingers + the rest of my skin. I started taking it in small 100mg doses 4-5 years ago because my son said body builders use it to get all chemicals out of their fat cells + since I have to use steroids for my behcet's + the dr's had no answer for the fact that steroids hide in your fat cells, I tried it to help remove tje steroids. But, WALLAH!!! It also gave me the feeling back in my fingers+ arms + skin +legs. I never went numb for years except when I tried the "NO FLUSH" variety. And last month my pharmacy only had the 250mg so I found out that didn't work either. BACK TO 100mg @ 5x a day (4x a day w/2 @night) saves heat in winter.jenn

I don't know much about "circulation," but I do know that the cardiovascular system can and often does have a connection with epilepsy (I don't know exactly what that connection is).  I have MVP (mitral valve prolapse.... just a heart murmur), and my neurologist tried to explain the MVP/epilepsy connection to me, but I still don't understand what he was talking about. lol.  I just know that the two issues have something to do with one another.

A characteristic of MVP is numbness and tingling in the hands and feet, as well as the hands and feet often being cold---- "poor circulation."
