[epilepsy] Lobelia vs MSG

  Mark,
The UTZ brand chips seems to not have MSG in them but who knows for sure as UTZ does not list a lot of chemicals on their bags. Frito Lay is different as all their products has MSG. " Have you notice how much you constantly want to eat them" ?   I'll look for that Sun brand but I really need to quit eating them all. The Lobelia is an herb that relaxes the nervous system. I was told it works as an anti-spasmatic that calms the person down who ever uses it. The Amish in Lancaster county first told us about it as they use it for their family members who has seizures. It seems to work for them. It hard to imagine their diets having any form of MSG in their food as what they may buy from stores may only be products for cleaning. I never knew lobelia worked like nicotene as that and tar from cigarettes damages the lungs. I did know nicotene in cigarettes relaxes the nerves as well but lobelia relaxes, calms and will detoxify the lungs
and it helps with any other breathing condition. One doctor who I met made a tincture of Lobelia. He was called to a home who had a boy about 10 years old. He had the flu with fever and asthma attacks all at one time. This doctor gave him half a bottle 1 ounce then another ounce 30 minutes later. After a few hours and throwing up, his asthma was better and the fever came down. He said the throwing up was normal as that was the lobelia detoxifying his lungs and respritory system. Nicotene will not do that. One warning about Lobelia....NEVER use Cayanee/ HOT PEPPERS or Cayanne extracts when taking Lobelia. The two together will acts against each other and can cause the body to have dangerous reactions. Another fact how Lobelia works. Besides saving my life one day, I had several auras that turned into Grand Mals. Knowing before I ever knew anything about Lobelia, my Grand Mals would be 30 to 45 minutes long. When I started taking Lobelia when I had
auras, I used 2 to 3 dropperfuls of it. If I went into a Grand Mal, they only lasted no more than 3 to 10 minutes. That was worth paying $ 30.00 for a 2 oz bottle. Also one of the doctors I had at N I H said she believed in Lobelia and how it can work. She never knew it could had been used for seizures until she met me. She has also worked and practiced in France. How many doctors here will believe what she did ?  Odds are they know very little about lobelia because it is not FDA approved and made by a drug company that would charge $100.00 for. But the FDA approves MonoSodiumGlutamate/MSG. Let's see, Lobelia shortens or stops me from having a seizure, while MSG causes them or auras 99.5% of the time. Who is the FDA looking out for ? Something to think about or what.         Craig
