Dear Friends,
It is our pleasure to announce that Istanbul, the city where two continents
meets, will be the host of the International Neuroimplantation Conference on
January 22-23, 2010. This will be the first event particularly focusing on
neurostimulation and neuroimplantation.
During the conference, recent developments and improvements in
neuroimplants, optimal parameters for safe and effective neurostimulation
therapy, vagus nerve stimulation for the management of refractory epilepsy,
chronic depression and Alzheimer's disease, spinal cord stimulation to
control chronic pain, deep brain stimulation for the management of
Parkinson's disease and dystonia, phrenic nerve stimulation for diaphragm
pacing in breathing disabilities, and cochlear implants in heavy hearing
disorders are going to be presented. Moreover, the conference will include
several special workshops; vagus nerve stimulator implantation, spinal cord
stimulator implantation and phrenic nerve stimulator implantation courses.
Hence, the conference will be a great opportunity for neurosurgeons,
neurologists, anaesthesiologists - pain management experts, ENT surgeons,
orthopaedists, physical medicine and rehabilitation specialists, biomedical
engineers, and all interested scientists.
The conference will be held at The Point Barbaros Istanbul, a brand new
five-star hotel located in the centre of the city near the Bosphorous
Bridges. Guests attending the conference will also be accommodated at The
Point Barbaros Istanbul. In addition to scientific seminars, a wide range of
social programs including city tours and visits to historical places will be
available.
