Janice,
When I took the birth control pills years ago, it seemed to make my seizures
a lot worse.I know it might not be that way for everybody, but since it did I
just let the pills go. I was having irregular periods then, but I think it
was the seizure medication I was taking that caused that. When I switched to
the medicine I have been on for the past 9 years mine have always been
regular. I tried the depro shots a couple of years ago to get hormone
balance with the progestrone levels. It slowed the seizures I had down some,
but I had other issues with it. I hope your daughter can find one that will
help her. I haven't been on Carbatrol in a long time,so she might be able to
find something that will work. I am taking Keppra XR and Neurontin.I wish I
had more information.
