I think one big issue is medication. Some medications just need to be
eaten with food. In that case, figuring out the minimal amount of calories
that will buffer the pills? Sometimes just drinking a lot of water works.

Best thing I know of for colds is good ol' chicken soup, esp. if made
with the skin. Plus garlic and red pepper! Once the fat is taken off and it's strained,
it's really rather low-calorie in any case. Lemon juice water is good
for colds too (again, even better with a dash of hot sauce).

Otherwise I don't know of the pros or cons of eating vs. viruses. Once
your body is adapted to Fast-5, it's probably MORE stressful on
your body to eat ... then the body has to deal with digestion PLUS handle the
viral load.

I do carry alcohol with me everywhere though, and use it on my hands
after being anywhere in the "cold season". I'm tempted to wear gloves
even, to remind myself not to wipe my eyes (one of the bigger sources
of colds). And I get my annual flu shot (which seems to work, I got the flu
the one year I did NOT get it).

I wanted to ask what everyone does when they get sick?  I have had a cold or something for the past 2 days (sore throat, congestion, aches/pains, etc.).  Yesterday, I stuck with F5 and did not open my window until my normal time.  Is that was everyone else does, or should you eat if you're sick and pick it back up when you're feeling normal again?
