Another thing that has helped me is a heating pad. I have a good one with good temperature control and some infra-red built in. I put it over my sinuses, throat, and lungs and just sit.

Viruses and bacteria are rather sensitive to temperature changes, which is why running a fever works in the body. But sinuses and airways tend to be cooler than the rest of the body, so heating the area can kill lots of bugs. Going in a sauna would help too, or even one of those sinus-steamers. And drinking hot liquids of course!
