I think you have to, my daughter was 7 when her events started. We didn't know what they were and it caused her a lot of stress. So much that she lost weight and was frightened often. Her episodes are more like simple partial so she remembers them all. The best thing that I should have done sooner was get her into therapy to help. I regret not doing it earlier. It helped her almost immediately, she continued for a year but that was mostly because it took so long for a diagnosis. She wanted a name for what she had as well as knowing there are others to identify with. Even though they are young I think they need this too.
