You might want to validate which "10 pounds" you are losing. If you are running and it is fat, it will probably go away when you start running. It's also possible that your body is hoarding water, or that you've gained muscle.
As far as "eating like a crazy woman" though, they key I've found is "ordered eating". I.e., eat like an empress, in courses, preferably served by a cute slave. First course: a nice salad, with vinegar dressing, or a soup. Both are noted for changing how insulin is used after a meal, and for curbing extreme appetite. After that, eat your protein, and make sure there is plenty of it. Fish and eggs are the best in terms of satiation long-term, and maybe for some people dairy. After that, have some nice vegies (vegies can be combined with protein). Last, have your starches. And after all that, dessert.
The big issue for most people is that they start with starches. Most people can overeat starches easily, esp. if they don't have a lot of fiber.
For some people, the TYPE of starch is important too. Wheat triggers some people to overeat, and any food issue can trigger cortisol. Baked goods trigger appetite more than "wet" starches ... like, noodles work way better than bread or crackers or chips.
Anyway, what I do is track how "satiating" each meal is: how fast I get full, how my stomach feels, how I feel an hour later or the next day. If you look in the archives, most people find that adding more protein helps, and some people swear by more fat.

I've been doing the Fast 5 diet for almost one month. I've only lost about 3 pounds (probably because of eating like a crazy woman once my window opens). I have a couple of questions:
1. when did your appetite start to decrease?
2. I'd like to begin running (again) starting tomorrow. Are there any special considerations?
I'm 5'7" and currently weigh 137, which isn't overweight, but is 10 lbs higher than I was one year ago. I'd like to lose those 10 lbs.
thanks for the help! I'm glad i found this group. my friends think I'm crazy, but there are other crazies out there fasting like I am! woo hoo!!!
