Erin,

The first thing I would say is if you are unhappy with your care, or the
results of it, you should find a new neurologist. If possible try to
see an epileptologist.

Secondly, surgery is a major decision, and can only be done in certain
circumstances. It takes a lot of testing to determine if you are
eligible. Primarily surgery is done for temporal lobe epilepsy, but can
be done is some other circumstances.

Try to find an epileptologist, and go from there. If they reccomend
pursuing surgery there are several of us who could talk you through the
aspects of it.
