Well I actually do think they have me on some kind of list by name and probably by address. First of all back in 2000 when Prince was doing his hit-run tour I actually dealt with Prince camp on securing special needs seating for the LA concert and the San Diego Concert both times ticketmaster wouldn't help me so I tried to contact the "Prince camp" and I had to prove to them I was a "paying " fan club member so I had to tell them my name and address so they could verify before they could help....and they came nicely! For both shows. In 2006 when the Prince camp actually called me at home asking me by name to demand that I take down the web site. Then in 2009, Prince when Prince performed on the Ellen DeGeneres show, I called the show to try to secure tickets for the local fans and to make a long story short, Prince found out about it and almost canceled his performance because of me... Now according to our local fan group leader Prince doesn't know that it was me just that someone called. And the local fan club leader knew it was me but didn't give them my name.
Also, that same year, I request Jay Leno tickets and I put in my name at the very beginning of the request period...and guess what no tickets! Even though Prince performed on leno 3 different nights! So I do think I am on a bad list!

I am no expert per se, but what I hear is that Prince owns the rights to all of his music since Emancipation. Before that warner bros records owns it except with every passing year Prince is regaining ownership of is WB catalog.
To get permission from Prince to use his music might be very tough proposition. Prince is very protective of his music and videos being used. I myself was busted by Prince's lawyers 2006 by playing Prince music and videos on my web site. Now more recently Prince was using Universal music group to chase down violators but do they have a right to grant permission? Who knows. Your best bet is trying to contact someone at Paisley Park, but I don't think keeps a regular staff there unless he is in town and currently Prince is finishing up his Canadian tour.
So my guess for your request, and please don't shoot the messenger if I am wrong, is to go to http://www.drfunkenberry.com scroll down to the bottom of the first page and send your request to dr funkenberry via contact us section. Why you ask? Prince's camp passes news for Prince through that blog site. So "someone" there has a connection to the Prince camp. So that's my best educated guess.

Is it possible? Realistic? I have an opportunity to host a radio show here in South Korea (where he is barely known), I would love to use Prince music as my bumper music, to talk about his music around politics and economics.
It seems that some of you on these groups are connected to Prince. Could you please tell me the proper way to request to use his music, restrictions, other things I might want to know.
