Hi Sue,
If you still have those couple of drop seizures each year, why haven't you tried changing your meds to get seizures under control?
I was on pheno from 1975-1988, and just like you, it couldn't control my seizures. We both are in the 25% of people with epilepsy, seizures not under control with meds.
I would rather try changing meds and see how the meds side effects affect me rather than not having seizures under control. But we all look at life differently. Just like I have stayed on my meds rather than decrease them in time after surgery.
