Almond Cream

1/2 cup almond paste -- 4 ounces
4 tablespoons unsalted butter -- 1/2 stick
2 tablespoons sugar
1 large egg yolk
1 tablespoon all purpose flour -- rice flour for gluten-free
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
Mix all the ingredients in a stand mixer or food processor until smooth.
Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze for later use.
Makes 1 cup almond cream. This recipe is easily doubled or halved.
