My son was on to topimax for seizures and I took it for migraines. The psychiatrist he sees told us that topimax is often referred to as dope-imax, because it makes people dopey. I know that I had considerable problems with word finding when I was on it. It seems to muddle your thought processes.
Depakote gave him migraines with vertigo and lowered his white count and platelets.
Currently he is on trileptal and zonigran and doing very well in school now.
