Mariea Good Morning
Have you noticed that when you have all these foods that you do have a seizure following? Yes they could be
dangerous to some people but not all so don't cut yourself short. Should you be boarderline diabetic that is
another thing and the Dr. should be able to give you a list of things to eat and not eat. I can have bad GM
seizure breakthroughs, but once I know my triggers it is usually something else that has triggered it.
Stress/excitement, lack of sleep, not taking my meds on time, good healthy diet. The brain needs food and has
to be got some way. If you are allergic to all these foods/or they give you more seizures then you do need to
get your nutritional supplements from somewhere else. (preferably in the form of a good well balanced
supplement).
This I found out when I was really bad. My brain was in such a fog I didn't know what the kitchen was for so
only ate when given to me (at one point partially fed to me) We asked the Dr. about this and he was quite
adamant about the brain needing good food in order to survive.

Subject: [epilepsy] foods and seizure disorders
I have read soooo many different ideas as to what to eat or aviod. But the ones I see most are
Avoid MSG,aspartate,
sugar sharp flucation.
I also see lots of information on vit. minerals I remember that VIT. D is an important one (not that others
aren't)
I understand the reasoning for most of this but I don't know what is left to eat cardboard?? Trigger points
are as different from person to person as seizures are different. Seems that lately I feel kinda sick with
increase light sensitivity. I always sleep after a seizure for hours now I think I am having more seizure
activity during sleep as well. What type of life style/ diets or otherwise have you all made or tried???
