Re: [epilepsy] Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving I am working in the dining room in my building at the retirement center for about an hour and 1/2. My oldest daughter is coming to help with the coffee. I get my dinner free because I am working.

But I am going to take it as a carry out and put it in my 'frig.
Then my daughter and I are going to my other daughter's house for dinner. I get my dinner free when I work.

Sad to Hear....
Here in Rockford Illinois they just Banned the Use of Taser's just less than 2 months ago after a person had died due to a taser incident. I hope the police would be trained how to subdue a person properly especially if they think the person is having or just had a seizure. I have woke up before w/ like 6 people in my room and I didn't recognize one face. I remember recognizing my roomates voce but, I couldn't see anybodies facial features. I responded by telling everybody to get outta my room. I didn't want to cooperate cause I was out of it. I had just had 2 seizures within a couple of hours and nobody realized till my roomate came down to give me the phone. She then found me seizing. Called 911 then later is when we put 2 + 2 together. I had apparently slept walked up stairs earlier that morning and then lost my bowels. Turned right back around went backdownstairs and got back into bed. Do I remember any of that ? No!!!!!! It has been my most scary
moment when I have thought about the idea that I had walked over 200 ft without any recolection.

Your latest epilepsy news, from Washington PA:

Once he left the hospital they were going to charge him with aggravated
assault and resisting arrest, but he outsmarted them in the end.

The Washington man who was hit with two shots fired from a Taser by a
Washington police officer died Saturday morning in Washington Hospital.

Ronald Petruney, 49, of 1090 Jefferson Ave., was pronounced dead at
Washington Hospital's critical care unit at 6:58 a.m. Saturday. Washington
County Coroner Tim Warco said the cause and manner of Petruney's death were
awaiting a full forensic autopsy.

Washington police Chief James R. Blyth said the two officers involved, whom
he said would not be identified at this time, remain on duty.

"All witnesses told us that it was done by the book," Blyth said.

One of the officers was patrolling Jefferson Avenue just after 1 p.m.
Tuesday when he encountered Petruney on the ground near his apartment
suffering from what appeared to be a seizure.

Petruney then stood up, disoriented, and attempted to walk into traffic,
police said. Petruney refused orders to sit down and charged the officer,
biting him and swinging his arms when the two began to struggle.

Another officer arrived on the scene. Petruney was first shot in the legs
with two Taser wires. The second officer then applied his Taser directly to
Petruney's torso, police said.

"He was still fighting with the officers for another three or four minutes
after he was hit," Blyth said Saturday. "The Taser had no effect on him when
he was hit, so they discarded it and went back to hands-on fighting. He
kicked one of the officers after he was hit."
