Hi Krist,
I was also taking Keppra and when they introduced the generic brand my insurance would no longer pay for the Keppra brand. My Dr. believes that the dosage in generic pills can vary, and therefore won't let me take generic. He switched me to Keppra XR since it doesn't yet have a generic (I think?) and my insurance company will pay for that. It works just as well for me, if not better, than the regular Keppra.
Good luck with everything!
Jen
