Generic drugs do not always contain the same inactive ingredients as the name brand. Genetics differ from one another also. There is at least one lawsuit against a drug company that manufactures generic Keppra because patients who were seizure free on the name brand Keppra began having seizures when switched to that company's generic formula. The inactive ingredients have an effect on how the body metabolizes the drug.

Generic Depakote/Depakene side affects,
Ten years ago I was given generic Depakene at a new pharmacy at a supermarket. They snuck it to me at new years eve. I was unable to reach my Md. in Boston. I got stuck with it and should of Never Taken it. I now had diarrhea permanently then after five years I was rushed into the hosp. were I live. This drug Valproioc
Acid gave me (Gas tyro Intestinal) problems . It rotted my colon and large intestine. So I now have colostomy. So I am the one who suffered in the long run. I almost died three times on the operating table during 9 hours of surgery.
So my word it read up on the drug in a PDR drug reference guide that doctors use in your library or even on-line. Check it out thoroughly.
