hello to you all
My name is amelia i am 21 and am not exactialy new but i am new to poasting.
i have had epilepsy for about a year now and have been put on Lamotrigine and now topiramate. The Lamotrigine was not working.
The topiramate is causeing me major side effects and i am curious if any one else is useing this drug. The neurologis i have did not subscribe it to me it was the ER that did when i was brought in for being in status epilepticus. an my nerologist was never told i was on the new drug, i was the one to tell her about all the side effects and the drug in general she new almost nothing about it so i have been finding every thing about it i can.
i have another appoitment with her in less than a week an was hopeing to maybe get some other experiences from other ppl to back up my experiences.
Ive been looseing alot of my short term memory and also haveing a hard time like connecting the dots (as in like thoes old things u might have done as a kid with a pen to make a picture) i do martial arts and was trying to do a siquence of moves and i could see what my instructure was doing, it was Very simple but i just could not under stand it or do it
and he even moved my arms around an i still didnt get it it took me several trys to figure it out and then i had to practice it over and over for like 10 mins to finally get it down. its things like this. and some times my speach or my wrighting as u can see, im jsut not used to this as im sure none of us were or are.
i think i will stop writeing and just poast this before i write a hole book or some thing, i hope to hear from u an thanks for all the great feed back and stories. love to you all an lots of hugs i know how we all need them! <3
