Coverage for Uninsured Coloradans with Pre-existing Conditions
Rocky Mountain Health Plan will be accepting applications for its federally funded high-risk pool as early as July 1st, 2010! This high-risk pool is set to run until January 1st, 2014 and is to serve as a `bridge' until national health care reform is fully implemented upon this date. The following is the criteria for the new program. Please apply soon as funds are limited.
If you:
1) Have a pre-existing condition
and
2) Have been denied health insurance coverage
and
3) Have not had health insurance for at least 6 months,
Then you may qualify for admission into a new `pre-existing condition health insurance' pool, or `high-risk pool' in the state of Colorado. Beginning July 1st, 2010 Rocky Mountain Health Plan will begin accepting applications into this new federally funded pool. You must meet all of the above conditions to be considered.
Will this help me?
If you qualify and are accepted into this plan, your premium is guaranteed to be no greater than 100% of the current average `healthy-persons' plan for your age group! You cannot be denied based on a pre-existing condition. You will have access to any provider/pharmacy that accepts Rocky Mountain Health Plan.
Apply soon as this coverage will begin as early as September, 2010.
