About the Conference
The Living with Epilepsy Conference is dedicated to
those who are faced with the challenges of
epilepsy, and to their family members and friends
who wish to better understand the treatment of
epilepsy and life issues that arise for people with
epilepsy. The objective of this conference is to provide
current information about new treatments
and strategies that can improve the lives of people
who are living with epilepsy.
Discussion will focus on making the diagnosis of
epilepsy, choosing the right treatment, and discussing
alternative treatments. In addition, the experts
will discuss some common problems people
with epilepsy may encounter in their daily lives related
to seizures and how to better access services.
Who Should Attend
Individuals, families, and friends affected by
epilepsy. Also, teachers, health aides, nurses, social
workers, public transit employees, child-care workers,
medical students, or anyone with an interest in
epilepsy is strongly encouraged to attend
