Yeah, I had surgery (a left temporal lobectomy) on Nov 12, 2008. Before the surgery, I was having 20+ seizures per month (in clusters). I've been seizure-free since the surgery, but I'm still on high dosages (3000mg Keppra and 700mg Tegretol). I probably have extreme liver damage from all of these years of AEDs. lol. I don't want to have to take these drugs for the rest of my life, but since my seizures were coming from both temporal lobes, and I still have my right temporal lobe (of course), I will most likely be on AEDs as long as I live. I accept that, but I'm still going to try to get my neurologist to lower my dosages.
Later,
Tristin :)

Tristin, why do you want to be weaned off of Keppra? Did you have
surgery or something? I'm sure you've said this and I just can't
remember.
Tammy
