>>* By googling for Fast-5, I found the following blog entry, which actually
recommends day on / day off approach of fastening (24/24) over fast 5:
http://www.fastingw
I'm not very good at Fast5, but I've known about it for a very long time now
(2 years?). I've been on and off of it for various reasons.
I'm currently Fast7ing (but managed Fast5 today!).
I'll adress a couple of issues raised in that blog entry.
One is the eating window (5-10pm). That was a suggestion. Many members
have shared their eating window works better for them at other times; do
what's best for you.
This blog states that its better to eat one day then fast the next (Brad
Pilon of "Eat Stop Eat" suggests fasting one 24-hr period per week).
For me, I like regularity. It feels good to me to fast throughout the night
then in to the day (currently breaking my fast at 230pm) and then eat during
my window. I'm learning that if I make the right food choices, I don't feel
that need to stuff myself during the last hour of my eating window, as the
blog suggests. On the contrary, I'm satisfied. And I do this every day.
It would be hard for me to eat 'normal' for one day then not eat at all the
next day (which is why I chose Fast5 over Eat Stop Eat).
Give Fast5 a try.
