Well done on the 40 lbs! Interesting how much recent dialogue there's been about carbs. I wonder why you describe your desire for them as a "craving"? As discussed quite a bit in the group, the body uses glycogen, mainly derived from carb intake, for fuel where fat can't do the job (in the brain, to give a not inconsiderable example) or when strenuous effort is required. So, particularly as you are starting to exercise, an amount of carbs that feels right for your needs hardly counts as a "craving" in my opinion, rather a reasonable response to what your body is telling you.
Of course, it is possible for some people to adapt to very low-carb diets, and there may be health benefits to be had from this - though, let's face it, there's hardly any style of eating, however unusual, that doesn't have some adherents who claim that everything else is poison. However, there's probably a good deal of adaptation required to get to this point, and even then I'm not at all sure whether it's the best approach to support a lot of intense physical activity, though of course this isn't necessarily what you have in mind.
Suck it and see, I would say.

Hi everyone,
I have with F5 since November and I have lost 40 pounds so far. I F5 with 75% raw food diet, and I am beginning to incorporate exercise.
I started with low carb with the raw foods but I felt so blah. Tired. Irritable. Moody. Then I started craving bread...pasta...etc. Now I have added more carbs and am feeling alot better.
I was wondering if it was normal to crave carbs with F5?
Thanks!
Rita
