RE: [fast5] Back and forth but back for good

You sound a lot like me.  Except I'm 195ish and 6' tall.  I've got that same 40 to 50 pounds to lose.  I was quite successful with this before.  Got off track when I had to have a hyst. and all the pain meds and that post-op.

It was so easy to do - we were on a Make A Wish trip to Disney and I never gained a pound!  We stayed at this great placed called Give Kids the World where you can eat ice cream every day starting at 8am until 9pm and they say they want to see you at least once each day.  Well - I stuck to my window and ate what I wanted and never gained a pound.

But here I am - day 4 and down 4 pounds already.  Feeling real good and SO glad to be back.  I won't be stepping on the scale for a while.  I figured I'll let my clothes do the talking.

Good plan and keep on it.  There's a ton of good info in the archives too.

Subject: [fast5] Back and forth but back for good

Hi all, I've been toying around with FF for a few months now, have fallen off the wagon and tried different things, and let the holidays get in the way. I've never had more than a few successful days in a row with this. That's not because I find F5 too hard, but because of poor attitude and weak commitment on my part.

But now, weighing in at 185 at only 5' tall, I am back on the F5 wagon to stay. I have about 50-55 lbs I'd like to lose. When I got pregnant with my 3rd baby I was around 140 and in a size 6-8, and I'd like to be a solid 4-6. Today is my 3rd day back and I'm doing well. I don't plan to get on the scale for another week.

I really love the simplicity of this. What I need to work on is not breaking my fast with starch/sugar, and I'm going to keep the starch to my meal, and that's it. Anything eaten outside meal time is to be fruit/veggie/protein/fat. For now of course the biggest thing is keeping to that 5 hour window, which for me is 4-9pm. I've also found that a workout in the morning leaves me less hungry throughout the day. I've been drinking sparkling water with liquid flavored stevia (so many flavors and a little goes a very long way). I've been trying to keep up reading these messages and they are very inspiring. I can't wait to join the successful ranks of F5vers on this board. I will try to check in here more often to keep me motivated.
