Well, I've never been on birth control before two days ago.  I didn't consult my neuro before beginning it... Maybe I should have.  I'm just concerned about an "oops".

It's been a long time since I was last concerned about B.C., but I was always told the Pill and most AEDs don't mix. I had a tubal ligation after my son (he's 15), but I don't think much has changed. It's certainly worth asking the neuro/epi about, but I remember when I told a neuro that hubby and I were engaged, the first words out of his mouth were that I couldn't take the Pill.

Does anyone know anything about AEDs metabolizing birth control pills quicker and making the pill less affective?
