I've had warm showers trigger them. Running warm water across your scalp
seems to be just asking for it. But what are you supposed to do, take cold
showers or not wash your hair? A couple years ago I found myself naked on
the floor in the shower stall at work with six people looking at me like I'd
just grown a new head off my neck. That was after a five-mile bike trip
(exhaustion after exercise seems to invite them too).
Come to think of it the same thing happened in my freshman year at college-
I had a seizure in the shower of the dorm and I remember being led naked on
an ambulance stretcher out through the hallway with a long line of horrified
faces staring at me.
Remember that story in the news about 14 years ago where a woman had
seizures triggered whenever she heard the voice of Mary Hartman on
Entertainment Tonight? That's how specific a trigger can be. The only thing
not surprising about that story is that it was Mary Hartman on Entertainment
Tonight, instead of someone else. Of course the creeps on that show thought
it was funny as hell.
