[epilepsy] RE: Triggers

My son has simple partial, complex partial, and tonic-clonic seizures and
some other types of generalized seizures. The simple and complex partial
seizures are the most common for him. We also believe he may be having
optical seizures. He also has Systemic Lupus among other things, so yes he
is extremely light sensitive. He often wears sunglasses. We do have lights
in the kitchen, but there are some similar lights in other parts of the
house. The neurologist increased his evening seizure meds which seems to be
helping control them. He does not usually have seizures in the shower,
although he has had episodes before that may have been seizures where he
gets dizzy and just completely falls down straight through the shower
curtain (drop seizures I think?). He has to sit in the shower. He was only
diagnosed this year, so I am still learning about all of this. I had not
thought of chlorine or the water temperature. I will try the gloves to see
if that helps. He dreams of being a chef and loves being in the kitchen.
Getting a handle on this would be great for him.

I appreciate all of the ideas and input. Thank you.
