Adrien,
I haven't wrote much on here lately, but I read your letter and thought I
would respond. I have been on the Keppra every since it came out. It has
helped my seizures better than any other med has. I don't think the generic
is as good as the brand name kind, but everybody doesn't have that feeling
I know. I started out with the brand name and then had to get the
generic. What ever you start with, stay with it. I have left temporal
complex partial seizures. The Keppra cut the length of the seizures and the
amount of seizures I had every month.I do have to take antidepressants with
it, because of the mood swings. I don't take Tegretol though. My other
seizure med is Vimpat. The Keppra also comes in Keppra XR, which I am
on(1,000 mgs a day). I don't have to take as much as I did the regular
Keppra. It helps with headaches I was getting after the seizures when I
started it and still does. I hope this helps you and I hope it works for
you. TC
