Come celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Prince's masterpiece of punk funk, his 3rd album DIRTY MIND. It was released on October 8, 1980, and its three singles were popular on R&B radio and in clubs through to spring 1981.

DJ doctor BAGGIE spinning hi-NRG Prince. Purplelectricity is a video dance party and Canada's only recurring Prince tribute party. Purplelectricity features music and videos that span Prince's entire career right from 1978's debut album "For You" until 2010's "20TEN". This party is legendary and hosted the official label release parties 4 Prince's "3121", "Planet Earth", and "21 Nights". This is its 25th edition, and the party's now in its 7th year. Door prizes (Prince CDs, including a whack of DIRTY MIND and LOTUSFLOW3R). Glam Slam cocktails at the bar. The "Club Purplelectricity" rewards program continues! Don't forget your membership cards on February 11th, or read on 4 details. Under this program, it's possible 2 earn a lifetime membership card into all future Purplelectricities. Basically, come 2 7 Purplelectricities, and get your Club card stamped at each 1. A completed card equates 2 a lifetime of no cover at Purplelectricity (except ticketed events). Cards are non transferable. Anyone who didn't pick up their card at the last party should ask the doorgirl about it this time to sign-up. Vida Lounge is conveniently located at the corner of St. Clair Avenue West and Lansdowne. Notable landmarks: Vida is right next door to the TD Canada Trust branch, and just half a block east of the legendary La Paloma Gelateria (delicious since 1967!), Earlscourt Park, and the Piccininni Community Centre. There is plenty of free street parking on St. Clair. TTC service to Vida Lounge is slick: 512 St. Clair streetcar (312 St. Clair Blue Night bus) and the 47 Lansdowne bus (329 Dufferin Blue Night bus).
