My daughter has been on Lamictal 4 years, and onces she was eased into the dose she has done well on the medicince. We recently increased it as she is now 12 and 5'6" 125 lbs. It does not stop all her seizures but most of them. Her EEG showed over 40 seizure a minute prior to medication an she is down to 10 in a half hour. Although they have not stopped this is significantly better.
