[fast5] Re: Newby

Well I agree with him too, probably because I was on a diet where I was asked not to exercise as it could interfere with my appetite/weight loss/hormones. I lost 40 pounds in 2 months as I mentioned before, but I eliminated all refined carbs and my carb intake was very low and my protein intake was higher than normal. I could also not eat earlier than 5 hours from the last meal. I didn't realise it at the time, but I was in Ketosis and on a low GI diet as well so my blood sugar level stayed very low.

So yes, I have learned quite a few things about diet and I know that exercise is not a good way of losing weight.

I really want to exercise to be in better health and I notice that it regulates my appetite. I don't feel very hungry when I exercise. I will have a read through that research that's been done, but then I will just have another book written by another person who has their own philosphy about weight loss and then I will be even more confused :(

And I walk at lunch because I work in Washington DC and it's a beautiful city. So all the exercise I get is against my better judgement. Most personal trainers who know what they're doing will tell you that weight loss is AT LEAST 80% diet... not dietING, but diet as in how, what, and when you eat.

Hmmm, it's not needed and it's just extra calories, so why put it in my mouth? I bought the thinnest wallet I could find and carry the bare minimum in it... I buy the thinnest, smallest clothes I can find that fit well so that I use less fabric...I rarely drive a car unless I have to carry passengers because of all the extra stuff like a spare tire, three extra seats, so much metal and glass, what do I need to carry all that stuff around with me for?? All kinds of things in my life are like that. And eating once a day fits into that mindset beautifully. I know minimalism isn't for everyone, but it works for me.
