Yes it is the generic one Tammy. Had to go look it up as was so use to the Brand name being spoken of that
didn't realize this could be generic. When you look at brand and generic or just the drug names if they look
the same either the beginning or end of the name...they are in the same family somehow.

I am pretty sure this is the generic for Zonegran. I was on the Zonegran for
awhile about 7 years ago. I was also on 2 other seizure medicines then. It
did not stop my seizures any better than the other stuff I was on. I lost a
lot of weight, but it didn't bother my appetite any. I was on so much
medicine I don't know which to blame the side effects on, but I did sleep a
lot and go to the bathroom a lot. My neurologist said it could cause kidney
stones. He took me off of it and a few months later I had surgery, which
helped more than any of the medicine ever did.Some medicine works better for
some. I hope it does good for you. Take care.
