2 cups fresh basil leaves
1 Granny Smith apple -- peeled, cored and cut into large chunks
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup walnuts
1 clove garlic
1 teaspoon Original TABASCO® brand Pepper Sauce
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup olive oil
To serve: -- 8 oz dried pasta, cooked and 1 red bell pepper minced
In a food processor or blender, combine basil, apple, cheese, walnuts,
garlic, TABASCO® Sauce and salt. Turn on motor and gradually add oil until
mixture is smooth. Transfer to a bowl; cover and set aside.
Serves 4 (over 8 oz dried pasta cooked)
Serve over cooked pasta with 1 red bell minced and sprinkled over dish.
ChupaNote: substitute 1 cup fresh parsley leaves and 1 cup fresh mint
leaves for the basil.
